The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This 2d mixed media artwork is created with multiple layers. The canvas is wrapped with black velvet ribbon around the edges of the canvas. The background is handmade paper. The hummingbird's body is collage; the remainder of the bird is created with acrylic paint. The branch is created with 3 types of handmade paper and is layered with mica flakes to add a bit of sparkle. The edges are wrapped with black, velvet ribbon.
